(charcoal). Wood was used to make boats,
cabinets and fence posts. Used
medicinally as an astringent,
styptic,
febrifuge, to treat anemia, catarrh,
conjunctivitis, diabetes, diarrhea,
fever, gonorrhea, headache, hemorrhage,
prickly heat, swellings, and syphilis.
